Week 10 once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' saying that attracts so many people into the NFL

That result could have created things up for the New England Patriots to creep back into a leading position they formerly held, with a remaining games that provides them an edge over their 8-2 competitors

Over in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a monster clash next week, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award

The Breakdown - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or could it simply have been a poor performance for the Bills?

Was it just an emotional letdown from beating the Chiefs last week or something more? This remains the question for the Bills to answer

The Bills had secured seven victories in a consecutive games against the Dolphins but were outperformed from the start as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 winners in an surprising result - and performance

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the squad's initial first down in the third period and initial scoring in the fourth - admittedly the Dolphins had ten days to get ready but it was nonetheless a significant failure produced by one of the NFL's best offenses

Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two scores but rusher Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 total yards and two touchdowns

Containing the league's best running game was crucial too, with Cook and company registering just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the season and just over half their 161.5-yard average

Then there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the scoring area resulting in a nine-minute possession yielded no points, and his final quarter fumble that Miami converted to seven points just two plays

It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defensive side and Allen attempting to overcompensate to rescue his squad from the situation - not the calm, disciplined, balanced Buffalo team we've witnessed this season

The Dolphins have served up a bit of everything this season so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the beginning of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an instant response in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay in week 11 as the Patriots are quietly moving into a comfortable advantage at the summit of the AFC East

In Focus - Patriots See Path to Unexpected First Place

Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three eight and two teams in the NFL, all American Football Conference sides, but could they be the top team?

One could pick holes in the Patriots, Denver and the Colts actually for dominating the weaker opponents, with just five of their total 24 victories achieved against opponents with a positive record - and one of those was the Indianapolis defeating the Denver

The Broncos beat the champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the final quarter while Indianapolis can ride Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's win in Tampa to their prime time success in Buffalo seems like a declaration

Their pair of losses occurred in new head coach Mike Vrabel's first three games, with seven straight victories, similar to the Broncos, since then - but defeating Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to prepare was huge

Drake Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials continue to be discussed, and he definitely earns point for bravery after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but persevering to guide his side to success

The defense is solid and first-year running back Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting scores of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth different ball carrier to exceed 22 miles per hour this season on his first score

While you can debate who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favourites to end with the top record due to their schedule - which includes just a single matchup against a winning team, although a significant contest against the Bills

Traveling to Baltimore is challenging too, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to play twice, the Chargers (who could also challenge for first place but face the identical challenge) and also the Green Bay on the schedule

The Colts also face the Chiefs, and have the Seattle, 49ers and two matchups with the 5-4 Jaguars to contend with. There's a long way to travel but the opportunity is open for a surprise top seed in the AFC

Next Week - Rams & Seahawks Prepare for Week 11 Showdown

Two teams with strong arguments to be better than all of the three different eight and two sides are NFC West opponents the Seattle and Rams, who both put up 40 burgers to reach 7-2 before next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the pair in LA

Both have won four in a consecutive games, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Darnold playing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with top receivers, and defensive units giving up fewer than twenty points a game

Both could realistically be without a loss as too - particularly the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in overtime against the 49ers and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning field goal with the final play deflected and run back by the Philadelphia for a touchdown

Seattle also lost to San Francisco, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before falling to the last kick of the game against the Buccaneers - so they are truly two of the best sides in the league

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the season to date

Top Performer - Taylor

Taylor could be on for a historic year after his remarkable performance in Berlin - rushing for 244 rushing yards, scoring three scores and adding an additional forty-two {receiving yards
