Ariana Grande visited Singapore for the Asia-Pacific launch of Wicked: For Good

Passionate supporters of the actress are calling for that a individual who breached a barricade and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating clip depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was due to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account contains videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande seemed shocked when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had waited to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had congregated in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including several who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-film interpretation of the popular theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected friendship between two very different sorceresses.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen Oscar nominations, securing two for best costume and artistic direction.
