NFL 2025 season: Week six

Live coverage features text commentary of the weekend matchups via various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, radio commentary can be heard through designated networks for a separate game (from 21:00 BST).

It's week six in the NFL season and following last week's talk regarding two top teams as possible championship contenders, they both lost their unbeaten records.

Striking during those contests was the number of penalties each conceded. Philadelphia committed them in key moments so they kind of beat themselves having led 17-3 going into the fourth period versus Denver, set to play in London this Sunday.

But it was positive to observe that Denver quarterback the rookie managed to have the shortfall before lead three scoring drives in three attempts during the final period, securing the victory by four points.

Denver boast the top defender in CB their star corner. They rank first in goal-line defense, while the Eagles are number one in red zone offence, yet the Broncos won that battle.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They weren't always sending more than four defenders instead they might position two LBs in the interior before withdrawing them and send a slot defender off the edge.

Early on of the season, we said during a show how Denver might emerge as this season's surprise contenders. They finished the previous year strongly and did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Could Denver be this year's dark horses?

New tight end their tight end has excelled significantly while new running back JK Dobbins is a guy the team trusts. He's currently fifth league-wide for rushing yards (402) as well as tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

I love that head coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" prominently of his playcall sheet.

That shows how the Broncos represent a team that wants to prioritize the run, because one can achieve much off the back of that. It slows opposing rushes and keeps you in positive down and distances.

It's also benefited QB the young passer, who entered the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – second only to Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert possess the arm strength to throw anywhere, however they lack in the same way as Nix. He boasts exceptional passing ability, which is different, and he's highly agile.

His strengths are his movement, being able to pass while moving, and finding varied release points to make the pass as he moves out of the pocket, on rollouts. He can deliver precision throws over the middle or past defenders.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he displays great composure under pressure and isn't really fazed by the blitz. He tries to evade being tackled as much as possible and is able pass under pressure. He has a high football IQ and is very decisive.

When you constantly run the ball it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay in play extended periods, and when you have an athletic quarterback the defence has to cover the field vertically and horizontally. This proves draining.

The quarterback has pushed back with the coach during games sometimes and it seems Payton appreciates that fire, seeing him as a fierce rival. I think it's fun for the coach to have a rookie QB who's similar to moldable clay. He can really develop him how he wants to shape him. I believe it's a special experience for him.

The head coach owns a championship and now surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. I think the achievements Denver are experiencing on offence is largely down to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB helps make him what he is.

There's no better a better guy in your ear, to help you through some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.

I believe in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they strong enough to go against a top squad at its best? Because that wasn't a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles in their last game.

Right now, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're working better than most, which is a solid position to be in the AFC West. All they need to do is maintain this path.

They're really good at leaning into their strength, that is running the ball, and this is exactly what they should do against the Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.

The Jets have surrendered 140 rushing yards each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (10th worst), and they are the only team yet to win any game.

Since the league started recording takeaways in 1933, the Jets are also the first team to be without a single takeaway in five outings, this is kind of shocking considering that their new coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator with another team.

Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City are off to a poor start following Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a manageable slate up to their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.

In their division, Kansas City hold a losing record while Denver are even with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could make a run for the top of the division.

This hinges on what version of the Chiefs they face since the Broncos {beat|def
